Viewers from 148 countries pursued voyage in the world’s longest live-TV documentary Hamburg Hurtigruten, July 1, 2011 – the attendance record of the Norwegian TV channel NRK 2 had historical dimensions: more than 3 million Norwegians watched the live broadcast of the journey of the MS Nordnorge from Bergen to Kirkenes from June 16 to 22 in the television. That almost three quarters of all residents of the Scandinavian country have pursued at least temporarily the broadcast. But not only half Norway watched: almost half of all live stream viewers on the Internet came from abroad.
